From a young age, Liane has been immersed in music. She started with classical music, as she began practicing piano and ballet at the age of 5. Over the years, her adolescence was marked by various influences such as opera, English pop, gospel, and jazz. After studying musicology at the University of Montpellier, she began to explore the world of swing and quickly caught the Lindy Hop bug. She even formed a jazz group where she sings surrounded by a quartet.

Her DJing is heavily influenced by her practice of jazz singing and swing dancing for over 10 years. Her explorations in jazz clubs and jam sessions in Paris further enrich her repertoire. When she discovers a standard, she spends entire nights listening to all possible recordings to find THE version that will make her want to dance. Passionate about the swing era, don’t be surprised to see her singing all the lyrics to her favorite songs!

Her essentials include a great live performance by Count Basie or Duke Ellington, the enchanting pianos of Erroll Garner and Oscar Peterson, the warm sound of Illinois Jacquet and Ben Webster, and of course, the exceptional voices of the legendary Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington.
